The Process

In one word: “collaboration.”  R&A Stairs collaborates with clients, builders, architects, designers and homeowners alike to bring their visions to life.  That is the R&A Stairs process.

We provide our clients with the finished product they have been looking for… and then we do so much more.  From the moment we receive the original drawings, we ensure that no detail is overlooked. Our passion is to produce stairs and railings that have been meticulously designed and fabricated.

At R&A Stairs, we promise timeless quality designs.  For over 25 years, we have delivered impeccable service and lasting workmanship.  As you seek to realize your dreams, let us put this expertise to work for you.rick's-pics-029

Before production begins, we go over every detail with our clients. We outline a process that includes pre-production consultations where we review samples or pictures of stairs preferred by our clients. We discuss the various types of materials and finishes and then we provide samples and pictures of our products (in various stages of completion) so that our clients understand exactly the type of product they will be receiving. We meet regularly with our clients to ensure that there are no surprises and that all final details have been reviewed before we start production or begin installation on-site.

R&A Stairs utilizes a wide network of wholesale lumber suppliers. This gives us the ability to source from the most common species of domestic lumber to the more exotic varieties. Some examples of domestic species include Flat Cut Red & White Oak, Quarter Rift Cut Red & White Oak, Walnut, Maple and Cherry, as well as reclaimed material. Some examples of exotic species include Jatoba, Iroko, Cumaro and Honduras Mahogany.
