Wood & Metal Railing
City in the Country
Located on the shores of Lake Simcoe north of Toronto, this project is a beautiful example of transitional design with it’s simple and clean but elegant component elements. The railing system features a continuous white oak handrail with plain round metal pickets and posts, evoking the less-is-more philosophy of modern design while remaining true to its more traditional rural setting. The stairs follow the same intent, not overly complicated but thoughtfully considered with an open stringer one side which encourages the passage of light throughout.
